Celebrating Pride Month: Advocacy and Knowledge Action with PJX Media

The Project X Newsletter: Vol. LVIII

When we think of Pride Month, the first thing we might think of is this quote:  Love is love. It just makes sense. It is so important in society to treat everyone the same, regardless of whom they love. Do you also remember when our parents and loved ones would tell us to, “Be whoever you want to be?” Let’s all keep that in mind this month while we celebrate the T in LGBTQIA+! 

Ways to celebrate Pride Month:

  1. Educate - First things first. If you don’t know where to start, do so by learning. Watch interviews, read articles, and talk to LGBTQIA+ friends and family. After that, you can start putting that knowledge into action.

  2. Put knowledge into action - Practice using people’s correct pronouns and support Pride leaders.

  3. Get involved - Become an advocate and donate, attend and support Pride events, have fun, and be safe! Don’t forget, Pride started as a riot!

Out-of-Home Spotlight: OOH Use Within Other Advertising Mediums

If you are a Stranger Things fan, we are sure you can understand the hype and anticipation of Season 4. Fans waited three years for the new season, so why not promote it by projecting a visual animation on the side of the Empire State Building? Giant Spoon teamed up with Netflix to present the new villain in the series, Vecna. Just imagine walking through New York City and spotting a 500 ft animation show with synced music to match the content. This strategy stopped many people in their tracks, and got many fans excited for the new season.
