Acceptance In April
The Project X Newsletter: Vol. LIV
The month of April is filled with so much excitement! We have holidays like Easter and Passover and all the while the weather is getting warmer. April is also important because it is Autism Acceptance Month!
There are a number of ways we can celebrate this month but let's start with what we should wear! Many autistic people (some prefer “people with autism,” so please respect each individual’s choices) have moved away from “Light It Up Blue,” and have chosen to “Go Gold” or “Red Instead.” The blog posts listed below give examples of why there are different color choices, so please read up on each color and give your support for Autism Acceptance Month!
Here are a few other ways we can celebrate this month!
Read informative blog posts such as: Identity-First Language, #REDInstead, Go Gold
Don’t dismiss. Listen and educate.
Watch movies, tv shows, or read books on amazing autisic people.

Lead with your logo. When your audience is driving or walking by your advertisement and they only have time to comprehend one element, the place most people start reading from is the upper left corner. Place your logo there.
